Summer is over, school season is on.
This is the time of the year when I am busy worrying what school lunch to packed for my kids.
They are too picky and its hard to feed them anything healthy.
I remember my son’s kindergarten teacher advice us parents to give our kids lunch that is “easy for them to open or prepare during lunch break” and food that “they really like to eat”.
How easy for them to open? Like sandwiches in ziplocs or chips in easy to open plastics.
I found a way not to waste any more ziplocs, cheaper and much easier to prepare. This is the use of “bento box”.
I learned that Bento box is a new trend to packed school lunch especially for the young ones. It has compartments to separate or put portion of foods they want, also you can be creative and prepare your kids meal in a cool attractive way. This is how the bento box can help, as it will display portions of food in one container, surely they’re still be picky but at least they’ll get tempted to taste everything
What do kids usually like to eat? Like sweets, pizza or nuggets, mostly fried foods – there are healthier options than this.
As a parent I suggest we must prepare them combination of what “they like to eat” and what “they need to eat”.
