Healthy and Likable Snack Options for Kids

August 8, 2016 By: Katycomment

20160331_195142My kids love to eat their snacks. This summer I listed few options that I know is not only healthy but the kids will like.

Some of the items below can actually bought on some stores but we like buying them in Costco as it comes in a bulk and different variations.

  1. Cheese – this is always on our list, one of my kids favorite is the Babybel. Store it on the fridge and it will take long enough until the next grocery time. Cheese is a good source of calcium which is good for their bones.
  2. Fruits Organic Popsicles – kids love ice cream but I choose the healthier options for my kids. It has different natural fruit flavors like strawberry and apple. While summer time, this snack is a must.
  3. Oven baked chips – This chips are oven-baked so less salt and oil. My son always brings these on his class snack contribution and the class liked it.
  4. Baked pastries – my kids love sweet treats so baked pastries is one of my options. There are pastries filled with sweet fruit jams. Just make sure to let them eat this after meal.
  5. Fresh Fruits – you will never go wrong with fruits as the healthiest option for your kids snacks. Fruits are rich with vitamins and minerals which surely help our kids immune systems and body strength.
As a mom, we always have to find options for our kids not just to be healthy but importantly happy of what they eat. In that way, they take nutrition with a smile.
