What’s Fun this Summer?

familyfun1Summer is a season for family.

This is the best time of the year to be out and have fun.

Weather is awesome as  long as you protect yourself from too much heat.

Kids have no school, parents have reasons to take a leave from work and vacation time.

 

We have listed some of the summer fun ideas:

  1. Gym/Training everyday – take advantage of the kids summer break and encourage them to be active and do sports. We are doing Jiu Jitsu almost everyday except Sundays, Judo twice a week and we go to the gym doing workout, boxing and MMA. Getting fit is much easier during summer as the heat makes us sweat a lot.
  2. Go to the beach or any resort – sand and water are one of the most favorite things my kids to play. Beach is the perfect place where they can play it all they want, just make sure to put on sunblock to protect your skin and drink a lot of fluids to keep yourself hydrated.
  3. Eat Ice Cream – who doesn’t like ice cream? Summer heat is over the top, keeping cool is easier with this yummy frozen treat.
  4. Play outdoor games – if you can’t bear the heat, do indoor sports like basketball, combat sports and mind games at home like chess or monopoly.
  5. Watch Movies – there are so many new movies this summer that is family fun, like Finding Dory and The Secret Life of Pets. Kids will love it.
  6. Go to theme parks or museums – well Disneyland is usually the best destination, but it is expensive and living in Texas means you have to travel. So, we tried going to city parks and museums instead, the beauty of the city and things that you can learn and discover from museums are enough to spend your summer especially with the young ones.

Enjoy your summer and spend most of it with your family, have a summer fun!
