Since my son joined the Jiu Jitsu classes, he has been training hard and learning a lot – that is rewarding enough for us.
One day, we never expected that he will be getting a Jiu Jitsu stripe on his belt. The coach called him and to our surprise his getting his second stripe. Of course he was so happy, so as we.
This is a perfect time for us to give him a reward, so we told him and he just simply asked for a “lunchables”. Lunchables is a boxed meal with either make your own pizza set, or cookies with cheese set or nuggets with juice and candies inside. You can buy this on any grocery stores in less than a dollar. Typically now kids have this as their lunch in school.
It was a day of achievement for our son, yet he requested a simple meal as a reward. We are so grateful to him as he learned not only physical skills but also a very humble and simple heart.
