Summer is Watermelon Season!

20160611_171253Summertime, and this is season for watermelons. We love this fruit as it is so good for our body and so refreshing. Feeling the summer heat is exhausting and working out is extra tiring, what we need is a slice of watermelon.

Why Do We Love Watermelon?

We love this fruit and eat it almost everyday. This replaced our soda and coffee intake. For one big watermelon it lasts us about 2-3 days to consumed, just make sure to store it in a cool sealed place and you will have your refreshment anytime you want.

Some facts about this fruit:

Watermelon is a fruit originally comes from West Africa. It grows from a vine-like plant like cucumbers. There are so many varieties of watermelon but normally it is colored green outside and red in the inside. Some are seedless and some are not. You can eat the flesh inside fresh, put it on a salad or you can blend it into juices with some other fruits.

Watermelon Health Benefits:

  • Good source of Energy – which benefits us to stay longer on physical activities
  • Rich in vitamins like lycopene and Vitamin C – helps us prevent from other diseased and sickness
  • Rich in minerals like calcium and potassium – for our strong bones
  • Good source of water for the body to remain hydrated

Watermelon is definitely one of our most favorite fruit this summer.
