How to Motivate Kids to Exercise?

June 10, 2016 By: Katycomment

Exercise is good for our body, its helps us to strengthen it and will prevent us from diseases around us. Having exercise everyday will increase our health power and insuring us a better life.

As parents, we should motivate our young ones to exercise – the early the better. This is one of our responsibility to make sure they are healthy and growing with right perspective about health. To be able to do that, we should start on ourselves and show them that we really are exercising.

Here are some ways on how to motivate them or encourage them to exercise;

  1. Run, jog or walk with your kids. This is the simplest form of exercise that the whole family will definitely enjoy. Besides kids love running around so take advantage of it.
  2. Go biking with them, kids love to ride their bikes so this could be an easy way to encourage them to go out and exercise. Summer and no school, perfect time to get them fit.
  3. Bring them to the gym with you, there are gyms right now that offer classes for kids. While doing your workout, the kids can have their own fitness class. My kids tried boxing and Jiu Jitsu, they love it.
  4. Encourage them to join races, fun runs and marathons. My eldest did Spartan kids and some terrain race, the obstacles are fun.
  5. Go swimming or simply play with your kids in the park. Resorts are open now this summer, swimming is a very good cardio.
  6. And finally, do simple workout routines at home and teach your kids to do it. Simple dance will do.

There are so many ways and so many forms of exercise, as long as everybody is happy and enjoying, keep on doing it.

More importantly, it is a quality time well spent with our kids.

30 Day Squat Challenge for Mom like Me

I found this image circulating the social media these days about a 30 day squat challenge. Squat exercises are very good for leaner thighs and stronger hips.
