Boxing: Story at a Glance

April 6, 2016 By: Katycomment

boxingWhy do we like Boxing?

We started boxing in New Jersey upon joining the UFC gym. At first it was our way of losing weight and gaining strength but turned out we enjoyed it and doing it almost everyday.

This sport physically is hard and will make you sweat a lot. It was a good feeling every time you punch or kick the bag. On our boxing classes we also do learn the technical aspects of boxing like footwork, proper stance and tips how to use it as self-defense.

It was a good sport in which we benefit from losing weight to self-defense skills.

To know about this sport, here are some information:

Boxing is a sport related to Martial Arts and Combat sports. This sport is played by two people in a matchup by punching and striking each other using gloves until someone gets weak or knock down.

A referee supervised the fight within a series of rounds while the judges are the ones working on the scorecards and using technical criteria to choose the most deserving winner if by the end of the fight no one was knockout.

There is two types of boxer;

Amateur Boxer – who played by collegiate levels or any events made by amateur boxing associations. Normally the players have headgears and the round are lesser than the pro fights.

Professional Boxer – where headgear is no longer permitted and the fights takes longer about 10-12 rounds. In this boxing they are allowed to create more damage until ones opponent can no longer defend himself.

Boxing is a very physical sport where the boxer should prepare himself thoroughly. Physical strength is very important as you trained to land heavy punches or endure so much pain. Also mental power is an advantage where you study your opponents moves, create some strategies and learn how to execute them on the fight.

Boxing is a tough sport that is why some used it for weight loss program, others just enjoy watching it. Either way, a lot of people love this sport.
